representation can be defined as the ways in which social groups are shown again by the producer of a media product. within the daily mirror the producers choose to appeal to a working class audience who resonate with the left wing ideological perspective that the producers encode within the newspaper. Due to the left wing diology of the newspaper it is evident that the producers aim to construct negative and critical stereotypes surrounding the previous conservative prime minister Boris Johnson regarding his irresponsible actions during the 2020 covid 19 pandemic. the producers make use of negative representations here to appeal to, and manipulate the target audience, the daily mirror utilises a straightforward reperesmtations to construct a straightforward ideology to its target audience minimising risk and maximising their profit.
