Key assessment one mock feedback
a) What grade did you get? Is this the grade you were expecting? Why did you get this grade?
Grade: A*, I was not expecting this grade at all. I attempted to develop a perceptive detailed analysis in the first question and use previous exam technique revision to structure my answers on each question.
b) What feedback numeral (i, ii, iii) did you get? What does this mean? What does your teacher think you should work on next time? Do you agree? (It's OK to disagree!)
- IV, meaning that I should focus more on presenting a clear argument or view on the topic with a big conclusion, instead of being vague about my view and position on the topic I should include my own argumentative view and conclude my essay/answers.
c) Looking at the marks, what questions did you do well on? What do you need to improve on?
- I felt that I did well on both two mark questions and the six mark question, I was suprised by my mark for the first question in particular, to improve I should focus on time management more effectively to have been able to answer the final 10 mark question to the full extent with more in depth understanding.
d) The number one reason why students got lower grades is that they missed out a question. This wrecks your overall grade. What can you do next time to address this?
- I answered each question but I wasn’t able to finish the last question fully, to improve I need to manage my time on each question more efficiently, which I can improve through practice essay answers and exam style question papers
